KUCCPS Admission List and Admission Letters 2020/2021

Education CS, Prof. George Magoha, on June 2, 2020 at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) in Nairobi announced that they have concluded the placement of Government-sponsored students to universities and colleges for the 2020/2021 cycle.

In the 2020/2021 cycle, 122,831 candidates out of the eligible 125,463 who attained mean grades of C+ and above, have secured placement to degree courses in universities. The remaining 2,632 candidates opted for Diploma courses in TVET institutions. 88,724 got placed in TVET institutions. Those admitted to Diploma were 53,726 and 29,112 to Craft Certificate and 5,886 to Artisan Certificate courses.

70,050 (57.03%) of those who were placed to Degree courses are male and 52,781 (42.97%) female.
In TVET, 39,695 (44.74%) were male while 49,029 (55.26%) were female.

There is still low uptake of TVET courses despite the ongoing infrastructural expansion and investment in the TVET institutions. The declared capacity in the TVET institutions in this 2020/2021 cycle was 276,163 students but only
88,724 applicants were placed, translating to 32% of the capacity.

The Education CS Prof. Magoha instructed the universities and colleges to contact their respective placed students and give them joining instructions and fast-tract the start of their 2020/2021 academic journey.

KUCCPS Admission List and Admission Letters 2019/2020

15th April 2019: The KUCCPS admission List 2019/2020 is finally out.
Education CS Prof. George Magoha released the placement report on 15th April 2019 at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

The students who were placed to the various public and private universities, under Government sponsorship, for Degree courses are 89,486 out of the 90,755 who scored a mean grade of C+ and above in the KCSE Results 2018.

Another 98,393 applicants have been placed to various Technical institutions, Polytechniques and colleges throughout Kenya. However there will be continuous placement of student into more Tvet Institutions all year round.

KUCCPS will be sending out, free-of-charge, text messages to the successfully placed candidates, informing them of the course they will pursue and in which institution. Therefore the students are advised to login to their KUCCPS Students Portal to view their placement status
